Remember the U.N.’s infamous "food for oil" scandal? The report is just out and it is a stunning indictment of the U.N.’s current leadership to properly lead and their ineptitude.
Of course the timing of the report’s release could not have been planned better. With the political turmoil of Meirs stepping down from her Supreme Court nomination and the pending indictments of high ranking White House officials it is guaranteed that the report will get very little attention.
From the news report on Investors.com:
The first news accounts of the so-called Volcker Commission’s final report emphasized that 2,200 out of 4,500 companies that were involved in the U.N.’s $67 billion oil-for-food program — set up to let Saddam Hussein sell oil to buy food, medicine and other necessities for the Iraqi people — had paid bribes.
Many companies and U.N. officials were paid bribes which enabled Saddam Hussein to steal over 11 billion dollars.
But it was the U.N. itself, as venal as any mob-run enterprise, that made the corruption of its own program possible — "facilitated it," in U.N.-speak.
To say the U.N. needs "reform" is useless. At this point, it might be better to end the U.N.’s mandate and start completely anew. (from Investors.com)
These actions of misconduct by the U.N. is an outrage, especially to the taxpayers since the U.S. foots over 75% of the UN.’s costs. The only recourse is to get us out of the UN!

October 24th was UN Day. But not everyone was celebrating the UN. Texas Congressman Ron Paul has introduced H.R. 1146 titled, American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 1999. In other words - Get US OUT Of The UN.
Every year since 1999, Congressman Paul has re-intorduced the American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 1999. And every year it gains more support from his fellow congressmen as more learn of the evils of the UN.
I urge everyone to contact their Congressman to support this very important bill. Also, contact your Senators for their support to introduce, or help to introduce, a bill in the Senate to get the U.S. out of the UN immediately, based on H.R. 1146 in the House.

Jed Babbin, former undersecretary of defense for President George H.W. Bush, is author of ”Inside the Asylum: Why the U.N. and Old Europe are Worse Than You Think" wrote in the Boston Globe about the scandals and the ways the UN wants to control our lives.
Secretary General Kofi Anna has been targeted and is surrounded by scandals even he admits the shortcomings of the UN. He wants to fix them, we want the US out.
The UN pokes its nose into anything and everything. Do you have a family member in the armed forces? If so, you should be grateful that President Bush ”un-signed" the UN agreement creating the International Criminal Court. That court wants to take jurisdiction over every American soldier (and government officials) to subject them to war crimes trials in a highly politicized setting. (Boston Globe)
This November, the UN ”World Summit on the Information Society" will be meeting to decide how to control the internet. They want to take away all legally owned guns through internationl law. They want to tax your air travel, international financial transactions, and even pocket some of the money donated for tsunami relief.
The UN is not our friend and is very anti-American. They want our freedom curtailed. Jed Babbin’s solution is to get US out of the UN

Perhaps it’s a sign of Armageddon, or just an outrageously bad marketing idea.
UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, in an anti-war fit, recently scared children in Belgium. Many went to bed crying and screaming after the broadcast of an "animated TV special" that featured the bombing of Smurf Village, home to the kid-friendly blue cartoon characters popular in the 1980s.
The film, billed as an "adult-only episode” not to be shown before 9 p.m., was created to draw attention to the use of children in various wars throughout the globe.
The program was approved by the family of "Peyo," the late creator of The Smurfs.
According to a report in the UK Daily Telegraph, the program is quite graphic.
It opens with the Smurfs dancing, hand-in-hand, around a campfire and singing the Smurf song. Bluebirds flutter past and rabbits gambol around their familiar village of mushroom-shaped houses until, without warning, bombs begin to rain from the sky …
Tiny Smurfs scatter and run in vain from the whistling bombs before being felled by blast waves and fiery explosions. The final scene shows a scorched and tattered Baby Smurf sobbing inconsolably, surrounded by prone Smurfs.
The final frame bears the message: "Don’t let war affect the lives of children."
UNICEF Belgium, which created and distributed the program, intends to use the program as a fund-raiser for the rehabilitation of former child soldiers in Burundi.
Philippe Henon, a spokesman for UNICEF Belgium, told the UK Daily Telegraph that his agency had "set out to shock, after concluding that traditional images of suffering in Third World war zones had lost their power to move television viewers.”

Here is a good example of the US military mind-set changing to the the UN mind-set. It also shows the conflict encounter with all US military personnel whether to pledge allegiance to the US Constitution or to the UN Charter.
In 1994, The Twenty-nine Palms Combat Survey was given the Marines who participated in one or more of the UN Operations: "Just Cause," "Desert Storm" or "Restore Hope." It was believed that this survey was research for a [Navy] commander’s master’s degree.
From the opening statement on the survey:
This questionnaire is to gather data concerning the attitudes of combat trained personnel with regards to nontraditional missions. All of your responses are confidential. Write your answers directly on the questionnaire form. In Part II, place an "X" in the space provided for your response. (Twenty-nine Palms Combat Survey)
The survey begins with the first seven questions by gathering an over-view of the social-economic backgrounds of the marines participating in the survey.
Questions 8 through 17 ask the participants their feelings of combat troops being used within the United States for an assortment of non-combat missions.
Then the survey starts with question 18 through the end with questions relating to their feelings to using US combat troops in UN operations. The questions cover topics such as whether a foreign commander should command US troops. (Remember what happened in Somalia!)
The last two questions expose the true direction our military is taking.
44. I would swear to the following code: "I am a United Nations fighting person. I serve in the forces which maintain world peace and every nation’s way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense."
45. The U.S. government declares a ban on the possession, sale transportation, and transfer of all non-sporting firearms. A thirty (30) day amnesty period is permitted for these firearms to be turned over to the local authorities. At the end of this period, a number of citizen groups refuse to turn over their firearms. Consider the following statement: I would fire upon U.S. citizens who refuse or resist confiscation of firearms banned by the U.S. government. (Twenty-nine Palms Combat Survey)
Would this survey lead our military to take an oath to the UN which is in conflict to the oath taken to defend our Constitution. That would be an act of treachery as PFC Michael New showed the world in 1995 when he refused an illegal order to wear the UN uniform. This order was the result of the illegal Presidential Decision Directive (PDD-25) which gives US military over to the UN in direct violation of the US Constitution.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) is a Regional Organization that is encouraged by Article 52 of the UN Charter. These regional organizations lead to the melting of sovereign boarders of the participating countries. Another reason to get the U.S. out of the UN!
In another one of my blogs, www.walterdimmock.com, I have two posts dealing with the SSP in which the main goal is to unite Mexico, United States, and Canada as one North America Community. This will abolish our boarders, and we will lose our National identity as citizens of the United States.
Border security is arguably the critical issue in this country’s fight against radical Islamist terrorism. But our borders remain porous. So porous that three million illegal aliens entered this country last year, nearly all of them from Mexico.
Now, incredibly, a panel sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations wants the United States to focus not on the defense of our own borders, but rather create what effectively would be a common border that includes Mexico and Canada. LOU DOBBS, CNN ANCHOR
Is this the beginning of the end of the United States of America?
On Capitol Hill, testimony calling for Americans to start thinking like citizens of North America and treat the U.S., Mexico and Canada like one big country. CHRISTINE ROMANS, CNN CORRESPONDENT
This SSP regional organization is modeled after the European Union. But even the members of the EU are not happy with the arrangement.
The idea here is to make North America more like the European Union. Yet, just this week, voters in two major countries in the European Union voted against upgrading — updating the European constitution. So clearly, this is not the best week to be trying to sell that idea. CHRISTINE ROMANS, CNN CORRESPONDENT
America, wake up and read the US Constitution! Our national leaders are clearly leading our country toward a socialist state.

Is the UN really a an organization dedicated to the peace of our world? There is a plaque on the UN building in NYC with a quote from part of Isaiah 2:4:
They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks…
Missing from Isaiah 2:4, is the important last part:
…Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
In every "peace" operation that the UN was involved with, the situation went form bad to worse as nations took up their swords against other nations.
-
In the Korean War, thousands of civilians lost their live. This could have been prevented if General MacArthur was allowed to destroy the three bridges over the Yellow River, where over a million Red Chinese soldiers were poised to enter the war. The UN chain of command denied his request and he was relived of duty. The "war" then dragged on for another two years with the invasion of Red China.
-
In the Viet Nam "war", at first our soldiers were not allowed to fire back in defense until they received permission. Our soldiers were not allowed to legally enter Cambodia or Laos without first asking permission. These two countries were staging ground for the North Viet Nam military.
-
The UN enter the conflict in Yugoslavia and Bosnia causing thousand of unneeded civilian deaths.
-
American troops serving as globocops for the UN become targets for criminals and terrorists. In 1983, 241 U.S. Marines were blown to bits at the Beirut airport.
-
In 1987, a U.S. Marine Lieutenant Colonel was kidnapped and eventually murdered by Arab terrorists while in a UN unit in Lebanon (he was unarmed - as required by the UN).
-
The UN "peacekeeping mission" in Somalia cost the lives of another 36 Americans in 1993. They were under the command of a foreign command that did not have their best interests. He only wanted to save himself.
These are just a few of the many examples of the UN inept handling of foreign disputes. Yet they seek to be the sole arbitrators of all world disputes.

Its Halloween time and time for the yearly UNICEF collection campaign. Most schools and parents encourage the kids to donate and collect money for what they believe to be an humanitarian cause.
But do they know how their money is being use?
Most of the money is wasted.
In Zimbabwe, UNICEF-donated equipment helped terrorists seize power. In Vietnam, the Communists received $13 million from UNICEF while untold thousands of boat people fled for their lives. Fat cats? UN employees are paid 40% more than comparable U.S. workers and some receive subsidized rent. (from A Dozen Good Reasons to Get US Out! Of the United Nations)
The funds not wasted, some goes to the funding of international terrorism.
The Mother-of-All-Kids’ causes, however, must be UNICEF’s summer camps for suicide bombers. UNICEF supports more than 200 camps for Palestinian kids, most of them administered by Palestinian Authority bodies — such as the Ministry of Youth and Education — that are responsible for indoctrinating Palestinian youth into the culture of martyrdom. In the town of Kalkilya, one UNICEF-funded camp is named after Wafa Idris, the first female suicide bomber and a heroine to Palestinian children. Her Jerusalem suicide killed one person and wounded more than 150. In Nablus, another UNICEF-funded summer camp, Shahids of Chattin, honours suicide bombers and other martyrs. As reported in the Palestinian press and translated by organizations such as Palestinian Media Watch, these one and two-week camps have martyrdom themes: Campers visit the families of suicide bombers, hear lectures and sing songs that glorify suicide bombers, and participate in discussions about the bombers. UNICEF’s generosity in making the camps possible is typically acknowledged at the camps’ closing ceremonies and also reported in the Palestinian press. Four-colour camp posters, coupling UNICEF with messages of militarism, are commonplace. (from IllinoisLeader.com)
The next time you are asked to donate to UNICEF, think about where your money is really going.

Most Americans have learned in school that the U.S. Declaration of Independence states:
"All men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights".
Few know, however, that the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights makes no mention of God but rather speaks of "the fundamental rights granted him [man] by the constitution or by law." But later, this caveat: "These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations." The UN declaration boldly asserts: "In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject to such limitations as are determined by law".
Whereas it is essential, if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression, that human rights should be protected by the rule of law. (From the Preamble - UN Declaration Of Human Rights )
Article 8: Everyone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law. (Article 8 - UN Declaration Of Human Rights )
If all a tyrant has to do is pass a law that takes away the God-given rights of his people, the people really have no rights. The UN’s "except-as-provided-by-law" standard explains how totalitarian regimes such as Communist China and Cuba have remained United Nations members in good standing for so many years. Dare we let our leaders put us at the mercy of an all-powerful United Nations?

These six facts will open the eyes of the blind to the evils of the UN. These are only the tip of the iceberg.
1. The first Secretary General of the UN was Alger Hiss. He served as Secretary General at the UN’s founding; he was also a key author of the UN Charter. In 1948, he was exposed as a Soviet spy. a U.S. citizen who was also a Soviet spy.
2. A UN “peacekeeping” mission in the Congo in 1961 included the savage attack on the peaceful Congo province of Katanga. The UN conducted aerial bombings of hospitals and many other defenseless civilian targets.
3. Since “man’s best hope for peace” was founded, there have been over 140 wars. Our two no-win wars, Korea and Vietnam (via SEATO), had UN roots.
4. In 1961, the U. S. State Department published State Department Document 7277. It calls for a three-stage disarmament after which America would be left with only “internal security forces ”— no military and completely defenseless!
5. Of the first 14 UN Undersecretaries who controlled the UN’s military, all 14 were communists! At the UN’s founding, it was agreed that the Undersecretary for Political and Security Council Affairs would be chosen by the Soviet Union.
6. A July, 2001 UN conference had as its ultimate goal the worldwide seizure of all civilian guns. The UN conference on “Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons …” was a step toward taking guns from civilians in all countries — including the USA!
